Kos Arrival & Departure
By Air: Kos has an international airport with 1 to 3 flights a day from Eleftherious Venizelous (ATH) in Athens. Flights from Rhodes also occur daily and during July and August almost 4 departures and arrivals a week to and from Mykonos.
By Ferry Boat: There are daily ferry boat connections with Piraeus except perhaps on Sundays. These same connections also visit Patmos, Leros, Kalymnos and Rhodes en route. Two or three times a week connections exist with Symi, Nissiros and Tilos. Other smaller craft also make irregular stops on various Dodecanesian islands including Chios, Lesvos, Lemnos and Crete.
In summer you may find excursion boats to Santorini and Milos. There is a Flying Dolphin service connecting Kos with Rhodes as well.
One can also cross to Bodrum, Turkey. US citizens must buy a visa for €100 to enter Turkey payable at border. Europeans pay less and some nationals, such as Greeks, nothing.
